Finding Joy Amidst The Chaos
Two simple things that are bringing me joy right now, sunshine and all things spring yellow. Both of these joys are examples of many little ways I plan on incorporating joy in my daily life as much as possible during this troubling time. We might remember that there is a whole world coming to life outside if we all just take a moment to turn off the tv, the internet, and all of the other distractions. We must be grateful to live in such a beautiful world and appreciate what it has to offer. We are all facing troubles during this time. But we are learning so much about ourselves and the world around us by slowing down. We must all notice all of the positive things we are enjoying and learn to enjoy the simple things, even more, when our world goes back to normal.

Start Using This Time Wisely
If you are home with nothing to do, you must seize this opportunity to accomplished things that you have always wanted to do. Start mastering a new skill. There is time now. Real skills will be our most valuable trade if we can focus long enough to master them. I hope to build many valuable trades but most recently I decided to take up gardening so I can work to one-day provide food for my community.
With spring in the air, I am constantly thinking about what I can plant in my garden this year. How I can better craft my skills. While also thinking about how scared my community would get if it ever came to a food crisis. It may not come to that but we are all realizing how underprepared we are if that were to happen. I hope to make sure that this kind of fear does not happen in the future by providing better resources for buying locally, growing your own food, storing your own food, extending the life of food, improvising recipes with what you have, and more. There are so many ways we can learn to be more sustainable in this regard.

How are you using your extra time more wisely to provide a better future for yourself and the planet? I would love to discuss how we can all do better and help each other in any way we can.
